2025 Middle California Show Jumping Rally

UNMOUNTED COMPETITORS ARE WELCOME TOO!

 

 

Deadline: Registration will Open on Mar 1st and Close on April 15th - No refunds without vet or doctor note after entries close. $40 office fee is non-refundable.

Regular Registration - $150

Stabling - $150 per horse

CDFA Fee - $14 per horse

Office Fee - $40

Stable Manager – FREE!

 

Entry in Show Jumping AND Tetrathlon (if schedule allows) – Registration Fee = $225 (Stabling, CDFA, and Office Fee remain the same per horse/competitor)

 

 

Competitors are encouraged to add additional show classes but will not be allowed to compete in classes at a height lower than their Pony Club Rally competition height so as to not create an unfair advantage of familiarity with the arena and course. If adding classes the Rally Organizer and Chief Horse Management Judge will need to be notified so that inspection times can be adjusted if needed.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Horse Management – Horse Management will start on Saturday after official briefing and will continue through Sunday. Anyone bringing a horse and participating in the ride phase will be participating in Horse Management, which requires that horses be to the venue before official start time and Horse Inspections.

 

 

Tentative schedule (subject to change)

  •             Friday – Optional Arrival, Set Up
  •             Saturday – Briefing, Horse Inspections, Turnout Inspection, 2 Jump Rounds
  •             Sunday – 2 Jump Rounds, Awards

 

General Info: In accordance with show rules Equine Health Attestation and proof of vaccines must be submitted prior to arrival. Stalls are 10’x10’ enclosed stalls. Members are expected to bring their own horse’s feed and overnight equipment. Mornings and evenings can be foggy, bring warm clothes and possibly blankets for horses.

 

Accommodations: There are hotels close by in Watsonville. Tent camping and trailer camping is allowed on site.

 

Championships Eligibility:

Championships: C1 and above, 12 years old and up. Must meet minimum point requirements

Modified Championships: D2 and above, 10 years old and up. No minimum point requirements

USPC Championships in Kentucky: July 16-21, 2024

 

Divisions:

Junior Divisions – Up to and including 17 years of age

Senior Divisions – 18 years and above

1.15m Jumpers
1.05m Jumpers
.95m Jumpers
.95m Pony Jumpers

.85m Jumpers

.75m Jumpers

Non-Qualifying
.60m Jumpers

Cross Rails Jumpers

Ground Rails Jumpers

 

Teams: Each team will consist of three or four riding competitors. Any Pony Club Members in Good Standing with a suitable mount and the maturity to handle competition at this level is welcome. We will attempt to combine individuals from different clubs to make up teams if necessary. Teams may be a mix of all rating levels and ages.

 

 

 

Rules: Refer to the USPC Website for the most up-to-date version of the Tetrathlon Discipline Rulebook and Newsletter. Horse Management will be judged according to the most recent Horse Management Rulebook and Newsletter. Please be sure to review these prior to competition as well as have a printed or digital copy available to all competitors on the team during the competition.

To Register: Complete the online registration for class sign up and payment. The Show Jumping Pony Club “Classes” include all 4 rounds (2 per day) for the entire weekend. Additional classes may be entered as long as they are not at a lower level than what you are competing in at the rally so that there is not an unfair advantage. All participants are encouraged to enter in the fun evening classes. Please email or bring chaperone and coaching forms to the rally

 

 

 

 

 

Middle California Championships Qualifying Information

Our region supports eligible members attending Championships.  Members who wish to attend must meet age and certification requirements for the discipline of their choice, which includes qualifying at a regional rally or the equivalent.  All eligible members are invited to qualify for regional teams.  Based on available funds, the Region will pay at least half the entry fee for Middle California competitors for any USPC Championships.
