Unmounted competitors may compete in run, shoot, and swim phases!
Deadline: Registration will Open on Mar 12th and Close on April 18th - No refunds without vet or doctor note after entries close. $40 office fee is non-refundable.

Regular Registration (4 Phase - Traditional) - $150
“Triathlon” Pick 3 Phases (non-qualifying) - $125 if riding phase is one of the phases, $75 if no riding phase
“Biathlon” Pick 2 Phases (non-qualifying) - $100 if riding phase is one of the phases, $50 if no riding phase
Relay Member Registration (if already a registered competitor) - $15
Relay Member Registration (if not a registered competitor) - $25
Stabling - $150 per horse (Tetrathlon mounts can be shared between up to 3 competitors)
CDFA Fee - $14 per horse
Office Fee - $40
Non-Pony Club member fee - $15
Entry in Show Jumping AND Tetrathlon (if schedule allows) – Registration Fee = $225 (Stabling, CDFA, and Office Fee remain the same per horse/competitor)
To Register: Complete the online registration for class sign up and payment. The Tet “Classes” are class #400-402. All divisions will sign up for the same class and organizer will organize members into Teams and Divisions once entries are received
**NEW!!** Relay Team – Build your own “Dream Team.” Must be 4 different people, one for each phase, can be a combination of any ages. Team members do not have to be on the same Rally Team. Teams can be made up of moms, dads, siblings, friends… Members of the relay team will compete according to their age/gender division specifications for that phase and their score will apply to the team’s overall score. Highest team score wins! Relay team members do not have to be Pony Club members to compete. Competitors who are already competing in the entire rally can have their score count towards a team. The Phase that each relay member is competing in must be declared prior to competition. Competition rules for each phase will still be followed. Horse Management scores will not be counted towards Relay Team scores but all riders must still receive a Safety Check and abide by all rules as stated for the Ride Phase of USPC Tetrathlon in the 2024 Rulebook. If any horses are not in the Rally they will be stabled separately from Rally Barn and barn remains closed to non-rally competitors.***
Horse Management – Horse Management will start on Saturday after official briefing and will continue through Sunday. Anyone bringing a horse and participating in the ride phase will be participating in Horse Management, which requires that horses be to the venue before official start time and Horse Inspections.

General Info: In accordance with show rules Equine Health Attestation and proof of vaccines must be submitted prior to arrival. Stalls are 10’x10’ enclosed stalls. Members are expected to bring their own horse’s feed and overnight equipment. Mornings and evenings can be foggy, bring warm clothes and possibly blankets for horses.
Accommodations: There are hotels close by in Watsonville. Tent camping and trailer camping is allowed on site.
Pool Info:
Swim phase will be held at Monte Vista Christian School located at 2 School Rd, Watsonville. Competitor’s registration fee includes the entry fee for the pool.
Championships Eligibility:
Championships: C1 and above, 12 years old and up. Must meet minimum point requirements
Modified Championships: D2 and above, 10 years old and up. No minimum point requirements
USPC Championships in Kentucky: July 16-21, 2024
Divisions:
Senior: 18 years old and above, maximum 3’3” jump height, 3000m run, 200m swim, 20 shots
Junior: 16-17 years old, maximum 3’ jump height, 3000m run, 200m swim, 20 shots
Intermediate: 14-15 years old, maximum 2’9” jump height, 2000m run, 100m swim, 20 shots
Novice: 12-13 years old, maximum 2’6” jump height, 1000m run, 100m swim, 20 shots
Modified Pre-Novice: 10-11 years old, maximum 2’3” jump height, 500m run, 50m swim, 20 shots
Non-Qualifying
Under 11: 11 yrs and younger, maximum 18” jump height, 500m run, 50m swim, 10 shots
Under 8: 8 years and younger, poles/cross rails jump height, 500m run, 25m swim, 10 shots
Competing Down: Competitors may compete down a height/distance in the ride, run, and swim. Competing down one height/distance will incur 200 penalty points, and any drop there after will be an additional 100 points. For example a senior wishing to jump 2’6” will take a 400 point deduction (200+100+100).
Teams: Each team will consist of three or four riding competitors. Any Pony Club Members in Good Standing with a suitable mount and the maturity to handle competition at this level is welcome. We will attempt to combine individuals from different clubs to make up teams if necessary. Teams may be a mix of all rating levels and ages.
Rules: Refer to the USPC Website for the most up-to-date version of the Tetrathlon Discipline Rulebook and Newsletter. Horse Management will be judged according to the most recent Horse Management Rulebook and Newsletter. Please be sure to review these prior to competition as well as have a printed or digital copy available to all competitors on the team during the competition.

Article 32—Championships Eligibility Process
Each individual Pony Club member who desires to compete at Championships must compete in a regional rally and be judged at the minimum HM level and same competition level in which they intend to compete at Championships. This constitutes the “individual eligibility” of the competitor.
Members wanting to become eligible for Championships must meet the below division criteria.
Modified Pre-Novice—Participate in a standard or modified Tetrathlon rally at the competition level. Modified Novice—Participate in a standard or modified Tetrathlon rally at the competition level. Novice—Complete a standard regional Tetrathlon rally at level; earn a total minimum score of 2600 and a minimum score of 550 in the riding phase.
Modified Intermediate—Participate in a standard or modified Tetrathlon rally at the competition level. Intermediate—Complete a standard regional Tetrathlon rally at level; earn a total minimum score of 2600 and a minimum score of 550 in the riding phase.
Modified Junior—Participate in a standard or modified Tetrathlon rally at the competition level.
Junior—Complete a standard regional Tetrathlon rally at level; earn a total minimum score of 2800 and a minimum score of 550 in the riding phase.
Modified Senior—Participate in a standard or modified Tetrathlon rally at the competition level. Senior—Complete a standard regional Tetrathlon rally at level; earn a total minimum score of 2800 and a minimum score of 550 in the riding phase
Middle California Championships Qualifying Information
Our region supports eligible members attending Championships. Members who wish to attend must meet age and certification requirements for the discipline of their choice, which includes qualifying at a regional rally or the equivalent. All eligible members are invited to qualify for regional teams. Based on available funds, the Region will pay at least half the entry fee for Middle California competitors for any USPC Championships.
